Loddon Mill

By the side of the road bridge over the River Chet the old wooden mill has stood for centuries, a rare example of its type.

Originally a watermill, it was converted to steam power in the nineteenth century, using coal brought by wherries.

At various times in the recent past it has been a restaurant and a furniture workshop. It is now mainly residential, with a businesses on the ground floor.

The mill is not open to the public.
