Loddon Mill

There is mention of a watermill at Chedgrave in the early 14th century but the current mill dates from the 1700s.

Originally a watermill, it was converted to steam power in the nineteenth century, using coal brought in by wherries.

It was further converted to electricity in 1928.

At various times in the recent past it has been a restaurant and a furniture workshop.

It is now mainly residential, with a businesses on the ground floor.

The mill is not open for public viewing.
